Praised for his striking presence and storytelling, baritone Kade Bennett is a multidisciplinary artist in opera, musical theatre, and dance. His recent and upcoming engagements include covering Guglielmo at Queen City opera, performing Pandolfe in Massenet’s Cendrillon with the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) Opera Theatre, as well as covering the role of Judge Turpin in Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd. This production is a collaboration between CCM’s nationally recognized Musical Theatre and Opera Programs.

 

Last season, he debuted the role of Demetrius in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and joined Cincinnati Opera for its 2025 Summer Chorus, including Verdi’s Rigoletto, Puccini’s Tosca, Bock’s Fiddler on the Roof, and Opera Chorus Cabaret.

For the 2022–24 seasons, Kade performed as The Four Villains in Offenbach’s Les Contes d’Hoffmann with Utah Valley University (UVU), Guglielmo in Mozart’s Così fan tutte with Utah Vocal Arts Academy (UVAA), and Vater in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel with UVU. He was then invited by Utah Valley Opera Fest to perform Mercutio in Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette.

Other notable credits include Marcello and Schaunard in La bohème, Monterone in Rigoletto, and Il Notaio in Gianni Schicchi with Mediterranean Opera Festival; Bonzo in Madama Butterfly with Lyrical Opera Theatre; Enrico in Lucia di Lammermoor, Jack Worthing in L’Importanza di essere Onesto, and Barone Douphol in La traviata with UVU; and Papageno in Die Zauberflöte and Truffaldino in Ariadne auf Naxos with UVAA.

Aside from the operatic repertoire, Kade is a trained dancer in tap, jazz, ballet, and ballroom. He was also recognized with multiple acting awards, including two “Best Actor in a Musical” Zarf Awards and top honors at regional drama festivals and national competitions.

 

Kade Bennett received a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from CCM under the tutelage of Elliot Madore and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from UVU. When not performing, he works behind the scenes in live technical production, bringing over a decade of experience.
